Kenneth Der was an immigrant to America and understands the challenges first hand in attempting to achieve ones dreams while conquering ones fears. Without the generous help of some wonderful people, especially one, he would not be where he is today. As a result I am now giving back to society through being a good Rotarian, providing Pro Bono work with members of the Armed Forces. I have practiced as a financial professional in both the public and private sector for companies such as PWC, Digital Equipment, Cisco Systems, Endwave, and FAS Corporation. I've held positions in the capacity of finance and operations, including VP of Finance, Corporate Controller and Director of External Reporting, President, and CEO.
My passion and approach to my work is ultimately education. After my experiences working for large corporations I am eager to educate business owners around not only their current financial plan, but also how to expand and evolve their businesses efficiently. I have been fortunate enough to have had exposure to companies of all sizes including my own small businesses and so I have an understanding of the challenges and goals that are faced regularly. Secondly, with my experience teaching young students at the college level I value the importance of educating people around the fundamentals of finance so they can make informed decisions.
